Presentation: Songbirds of the Northeast

Join us on Wednesday, April 17 at 6:30 PM as naturalist John Root gives a multimedia presentation of the region’s most common songbirds. Learn to recognize these enchanting birds. Life cycles, migration and other facts will be presented, along with how to provide an attractive habitat for songbirds.

Sponsored by the Easthampton Gardening Club and Emily’s Friends of the Library, “Songbirds of the Northeast” is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be available.

This program is also supported in part by a grant from the Easthampton Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.

The Fifteen Houses – Author Talk and Signing

15housesJoin us in welcoming author Jeanne Claire Probst for a reading and signing of her novel The Fifteen Houses on Thursday, April 4 at 6 PM.

Set in Western Massachusetts, The Fifteen Houses is the start of an exciting new series about a woman’s search for answers through her memories of the homes where she spent her younger years.

The book may be ordered ahead of time from the author’s website, The Fifteen Houses, or from your local book retailer. Copies will be available at the signing and light refreshments will be served.

A basket raffle sponsored by Outskirts Press is available at the Library. Tickets are $1.00 each and proceeds will support Emily’s Friends of the Library. The winner will be drawn at the end of the event; you do not have to be present to win.
