Summer Reading at the Library!
The Build a Better World Youth & Adult Summer Reading programs run for 6 weeks, from Monday, June 28th to Saturday, August 5th. Call or come in to sign up!
We are so grateful to receive a Customer Choice Award from Florence Bank! Thank you all for voting for us. Pictured here receiving the Big Check are Library Director, Nora Blake, Board Member Gail Canon, and Bank Representative, Anita Sedlak.
Voices Carry, a performance group of women from the Voices from Inside program, will be at the Library on Saturday, March 25, 2017 from 1-2:30pm for an afternoon of readings designed to bring the stories of incarcerated or formerly incarcerated women to the public.
The weather is going to be dangerous on Tuesday, so the Library will be closed. Stay safe!
We’re all writers, and we all have stories to tell — join us and discover yours!
Throughout the month of March, the Library will be host to a Creative Writing Group for 10-13 year olds every Wednesday, 3:30-4:30pm. Although, if your child is interested but doesn’t quite fall within that age range, don’t hesitate to contact us about the possibility of them joining.
Long-time educator Jennifer Delozier will lead kids through different forms of writing with various prompts, while providing participants with the support necessary to get their ideas on paper. Writing can be funny or serious, and sharing is always optional.
Space is limited, so don’t delay! Please contact the Youth Department to register your child: email@example.com or 413-529-1605.
