Come prepare for the eclipse with us! Smith College astronomy professor and science writer for children, Meg Thacher, will be talking with families about the coming eclipse and leading us in an activity to make a pinhole eclipse viewers! Program geared for elementary aged children but siblings and families are welcome. Join us for an Expressive Arts activity led by Gina Krosoczka! Through creativity and crafts, children will learn new coping skills. This hour-long program will consist of read-aloud, social-emotional activities, and an art project to empower children to move through today’s world more easily. This whole-brain workshop—engaging sound, movement, and visuals—gives children a toolbox with opportunities and ways to cope with today’s everyday challenges.
