Winter Mural Making!

Come add to our Winter Mural before it goes up on display! Come drop-in to this collaborative multimedia mural-making session! We will have lots of fun and engaging materials and an inspiring winter backdrop of the city for participants of all ages to add to; it will be displayed at the library afterward. Stay for as long or as little of a time as you like.

Family Eclipse Program with Meg Thacher

Smith College astronomy professor and science writer for children, Meg Thacher, will be talking with families about the coming eclipse and leading us in an activity to make a pinhole eclipse viewers! Discover the habits and lifestyles of these luminous insects, and learn what makes their ‘cool light’ different from other ‘warm light’. Bring a recycled glass jar, and make a firefly catcher to bring home and enjoy this summer! Recommended for ages 5+.
