Led by award-winning teen writer, Aliya Axelrad, this workshop is designed to allow students age 12 and up a place to explore their own passion and love for creative writing. Suggested prompts and topics will be provided, and we all have a chance to share and celebrate each other’s work. Our celebration of summer includes a program of making special summer memory jars and an outdoor visit from Crooked Stick Pops! Complete your Summer Reading Program with a fabulous treat for reaching your goal! Make sure all your earned raffle tickets are entered for a chance to win one of our fun, experiential prizes. Come have hot chocolate and use beautiful supplies to make garlands and paper chains to decorate the library and to bring home! Intergenerational program, all ages are welcome.

Come join Easthampton Public Health Nurse, Chris Southworth, and quiet your mind with line design by making gel pen snowflakes! Drop in or stay the whole hour, we will have materials to make beautiful, geometric snowflake line drawings. Program is designed for school aged children and teens.

Come prepare for the eclipse with us! Smith College astronomy professor and science writer for children, Meg Thacher, will be talking with families about the coming eclipse and leading us in an activity to make a pinhole eclipse viewers! Program geared for elementary aged children but siblings and families are welcome. Come be a part of our teen advisory group! Come and share ideas about what programs the library could have and what we could buy for our collection. And then stay for a workshop making wallets out of duct tape! Ages 12+
