Jarrett J. Krosoczka, the acclaimed and amazing creator of the Lunch Lady series, Peanut Butter and Jellyfish, Hey Kiddo, and so much more, is coming to visit our library this summer! He’ll give a presentation on how he became a graphic novelist, how he writes books, and then will answer questions from the audience while he draws! Registration is encouraged.
Lois returns for another artful summer workshop series! Each of these Tuesdays will feature an open-ended art project that centers around our theme of renewing and reusing; come to one or come to all of these fun programs. Registration is encouraged. We are delighted to have theater teacher, Heidi Haas, join us for this series! Every workshop includes warm-up exercises, scene work, and theater games. The workshop introduces the value of using drama to express feelings, playfully solve problems, and encourages children to challenge themselves and participate as fully as they feel comfortable. Team building and creating a sense of safety are integral parts of the process and draw on the strengths of the students to foster a sense of pride in what they can accomplish as a group.
