UPDATE: This conversation is now co-sponsored by Racial Justice Rising. Visit racialjusticerising.org to learn more about who they are and the work they do.

This program will focus on the experiences of Jeanne Hall, Gloria Matlock, and Dick Hall, who have generously offered to share what it means to be Black in western MA, and the US. They will be discussing their thoughts and feelings about the George Floyd murder, the conviction of Derek Chauvin, and the violent storming of the Capitol on January 6 in order to overturn the results of the presidential election. The discussion will be moderated by Allen Davis, an educator and racial justice advocate.

Dick, Gloria, and Jeanne’s experiences will be the starting point for an open and thoughtful conversation about racism and how we can learn to appreciate and understand perspectives different from our own, as individuals and a community.
